Whoop whoop a new fashion film in its making!
Yesterday, I spent the whole day in a creative & lovely studio close to London filming Chanie for Panda Parker’s newest collection. The energy was great and we all had a good time. See some behind the scene pictures below!

3 things I loved about the Patternity event:

1. Katharine Hamnett’s presentation. The legendary fashion designer, best known for her political T-Shirts…
Check them out here.
2. The “Say Fromage” Photobooth! As soon as we figured how it worked, we were taking snapshots for the rest of the event. Reminded me of the streets of Gangnam in Seoul, they have this in every corner!
3. Lily Silverton’s film “Patternity” - After this night, I will never be able to look at patterns in an innocent way..

The One Minute Date Fashion Film.

First things first, we have to get the models ready.

While Marketa was getting her final touches…

…we had a look around and found fishes!

We also found amazing Thai food that we could use as props.

Yum Yum Restaurant is probably one of the prettiest indoor locations that we’ve had for a shoot.

Our amazing make-up artist, Chloe doesn’t leave out any details, let’s not forget the nails!

Lets also not forget to include some pretty cocktails to the shoot.

Here is one last sneak peek of the fashion film. Its called “ONE MINUTE DATE”, has been already edited and submitted to a competition. I will keep you up to date! Follow NICISEOUL on Facebook! See the stills via David!

Light show, Hayward Gallery, April 2013.
You might have to queue up, you might have to come another day, the shows are fully booked, and you better get your tickets now. But beware, this show might make you think that you’ve got a bottle of red wine intus.. or 2.
Especially, if you go into the rooms that are all white and have some simple light element on the wall…, wait 2 minutes, then you will think that you are flying amongst clouds or something. No kidding. If you like having your reason challenged, well then you should go!

Dior x Harrod’s exhibition, 2013.
We went through the rooms within 15 minutes. 15 minutes spent well. First off, we were greeted by a giant doll-house, we saw a film projected on to a giant book, also there were giant arm-chairs and the very famous dior bag, those two were also giants and being projected at. Did you spot the pattern? ^^ Last but not least, there were probably about 1000 Dior bottles all over the floor, which made me want to have them all. Pretty good perfume-advertising, I would say.. If you haven’t seen the Dior x Harrod’s collaboration yet, have 15 minutes spare, like pretty shiny things, and being sucked into another world whilst feeling like Alice in Dior-land, then you should definitely go!

House Party, London, March 2013.

We finished term 2 of our course MA Fashion Media Production, and all that is left is the final Master project!
We thought a party to celebrate what we’ve done so far was appropriate… :)

What do you love most about the Oscars?

Never have I been able to watch the Oscars at a normal time. For instance, this time I saw the Oscars from 10.30 pm till 4 am in the morning.. A row of anything liquid containing caffeine will be placed in arm-reach beside me (to save me from sudden sleep attacks), just like a hamster would stuff seeds into his cheeks - just in case it gets hungry.

My Oscar love:

Number 1:
My favourite part of the show are the winner speeches. The winners are thanking everyone else but themselves for what they have achieved, it is so touching to see someone get rewarded for their efforts and talents… Heartbreakingly lovely that is!

Number 2:
Spotting the worst- and best-dressed actresses! The glitter, glam, gold, silver, silk, omg.
Even though Catherin Zeta-Jones did not win any Oscars for her acting, I sure do give her gold for her dress!

The National TV Awards 2013 - In the Media hub!

It was a glamorous night with familiar TV faces walking down the red carpet, there were girls wearing dazzling dresses and the guys looked all smart, no, I mean, the guys looked ridiculously handsome in their black fitted suits. How can it be that any guy will look ridiculously handsome as soon as they wear a suit?!
If you figure this mystery out, please do let me know.

New film online! Here are some stills!
It’s a fashion film for my dear friend, Vina Jung from Korea.. When first we met, we were models infront of the camera, shooting an advert for a jeans brands. But now 1 year later, I live in London, I’m behind the camera and she is designing the most gorgeous lingerie sets, rocking the Korean press scences! Her lingerie have been recently featured in many Korean Fashion Magazines, like Marie Claire, Nylon, Allure, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Vogue, see the whole gallery here.
I feel big time proud, that I got to collaborate with Vina!
Here is the video, I had the most amazing team to create this piece and also many thanks to www.studiophotogallery.com for their perfect studio!

Out in the nature…

Where we saw reindeers,

Watched David, the photographer do his thing,

Anna and me giving the camera our widest smile,

Anna holding swords and other cosplay stuff,

And last but not least, David and me posing for the camera.
London transport may be panicking due to the sudden snow attack, but if you’re out here in the nature, everything is fine, everything is beautiful :)

Fashion Popcorn #6 at London Short Film Festival

The screening took place at Hackney Picturehouse.
We saw 13 new fashion films.
3 of them have been directed by fellow students in MA Fashion Media Production. FMP for the win! Olé!

In my opinion all the movies were awesome, however if I had to choose my favourite one, it’s writer/director Chris Turner’s fashion film called “G(O)OD + (D)EVIL”. Check it out!

At the after-party, we got to do some networking. And it was a great event! I used to always think of networking parties as a weird thing, but now I love it. Just walk up to someone and start a conversation. We ALL have the same one and only passion for film, otherwise we wouldn’t be there in the first place!

Fashion Popcorn offered wine and the most adorable xs-cupcakes I have ever seen. Not only do they look adorable, those lil’ things were like 1000 fluffy marshmallows melting on your tongue..

Blackout and Straightola were performing with stunning visuals and tunes. Fashion Popcorn definitely thought of everything to make this night perfect.

If you’re around London, and haven’t been to the London Short Film Festival yet, then you should go! It’s on till the 13th January, 2013. You won’t see any Fashion Films like last night, but its still absolutely worth it: http://shortfilms.org.uk/
I might go on Saturday.. :)

Welcome to 2013! I hope you had an amazing Xmas

and an awesome new years eve!

I spent my winter holidays in Germany, and it was lovely to spend some quality time with my good old friends.

Also, I got to see my lovely sister again and drink one of my favourite drinks, mulled wine!

My besties and I meet up for our traditional dinner a few days before or after Christmas ever since we left school and moved to places far, far away from each other. At this years Christmas dinner, on the 23.12.2012, we made a vow. In 2019 we will celebrate our 20 years of friendship! We will organize a huge party in our “greatest-casa-snob-like” house…(check out my Pinterest collection of Casa Snob examples).
But if we do not have a “show-off” type of house by 2019, then we will just travel together in style. I can’t wait! Just 6 more years left until the celebration! We are all split up and do not live in the same cities at all… but I stubbornly believe that distance doesn’t matter, because at the end of the day, we’re all under same sky.
Cheesy, but true?
